On Sunday evening, June 23, we will are having a picnic. We invite friends from the community to come and join us. Hot Dogs, Hamburgers, rolls and condiments will be provided. Place settings will also be provided. If you are able to bring a picnic dish or dessert to share, that would be great. We have invited friends from the Hagerstown Rescue Mission to join us for the evening. Following supper they will lead a time of worship, sharing music, testimonies and a message. Supper will begin at 4:30.
We will have a special Worship service on Sunday morning, June 30 at 10:00 AM. This will be a combined worship Sunday. There will be no 8:15 or 10:30 service that day. Sunday school classes will not be meeting. We will have a time of fellowship before the service, beginning at 9:15, with some coffee, beverages and refreshments. Our worship that day will include music, singing, and a message of encouragement. Everyone is welcome. If you do not have a Church home, this would be a good day to come and check us out.
We have begun a new support group for any who are trying to lose some weight. If you are following a diet plan, but need some encouragement and accountability to help you, you are welcome to come out and join us. The group meets on Thursday evenings at 6:30. The meetings include a weigh-in, prayer, encouragement and some helpful advice and hints. (The weigh-in is completely confidential!) All are welcome.
Mark your calendars: Our annual Vacation Bible School will be July 15-19. The theme is Athens. We will be learning about the ministry of the Apostle Paul. Children age 4 - Grade 6 are welcome to join us. More details will be posted soon.
