Help Hotline
One of the local ministries that GCOG supports is The Help Hotline. The Help Hotline is a local food bank that provides funds and food year-round to the local area residents. The HELP Hotline is sponsored by contributions from local churches, organizations and individuals of this giving community and other friends. For over 43 years, the HELP Hotline has been working together to help our neighbors who are in need of assistance.
The Church of the Transfiguration at Blue Ridge Summit continues to provide space for the food bank. The HELP Hotline services a four county area with the following boundaries: Midvale Road, Franklin County; Fountaindale, Adams County; High bridges on Route 550, Frederick County; and Lower Mount Zion Road, Washington County.
The HELP Hotline Food Bank Hours of Operation are every other Saturday 9 AM to 10 AM and every other Tuesday evening 5 PM to 6 PM. Schedules are posted on the window at the Food Bank Entrance.
